Emerging out
of the coffeehouses and corner bars in early 1997, lead vocalist Aaron
Chalcraft and college-mate J. B. Blechinger put down the acoustic guitars
in favor of a larger vision. Out of this came Introspect, the upstart
rock n roll presence in Columbus, Ohio.
While racking up an impressive regional
following, Introspect released their first EP in 2005 entitled, "For All
to See", which received regional radio play and demonstrated the band's
ability to combine infectious melodies with a rock and roll swagger.
Introspect was recognized as a “Top 10 Unsigned Band of 2005” on
www.alternativeaddiction.com and their song “The Journey” was one of the
most downloaded songs of the year on the national music website. In
support of the EP, the band landed many desirable supporting opportunities
for national recording artists Evanescence, Maroon 5, Tantric, Three Days
Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, and Gavin DeGraw.
But the
growth of the band didn’t stop there. Adding
members Mark Cooper (lead guitar/ Vox), Drew Phillips (Bass/Vox), and Greg
Braun (Drums), formerly of Pay The Girl (TVT Records), the band has
realized its most fully energized and keenly focused direction of the
band's career.
With
Introspect’s new line-up gelling as a unified musical ensemble working and
playing as one, the group's new sound finds a strengthening of the band
with great experience and energy.
With
renewed enthusiasm and vision, the band has set its sights on new
developing material for the coming year while performing many shows along
the way. For the band, “It’s all about playing”.
